Troy Regional has earned a 2025 Women’s Choice Award as a Best Hospital for Emergency Care from the Women’s Choice Award® organization. Troy Regional was in the top 1 percent of 4,675 hospitals.
The Women’s Choice Award identifies America’s best hospitals and healthcare facilities across the nation based on robust criteria that includes relevant clinical performance, patient satisfaction and appropriate accreditation to help women make smart healthcare choices.
The organization identifies the facilities that have demonstrated the highest level of quality care to their patients, with a special focus on the female experience. Women’s Choice Award uses the most publicly available clinical data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) patient satisfaction survey results, relevant accreditation information from appropriate services and the American Hospital Directory.
“We are so proud to receive this award,” said Troy Regional CEO Rick Smith. “We frequently receive high ratings and positive reviews and comments from our patients who recognize that the quality of care in our Emergency Department has continued to improve.”
The Chartis organization recently recognized Troy Regional as a Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital in the state and the only one in Alabama. The most recent accolade was a 5-star rating for cleanliness in a list of 374 hospitals by Becker’s Hospital Review, with only eight in Alabama.
