ED Tech – 091- Emergency
Assists Emergency Room physicians and nurses with patient care based on individual patient needs under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of duties such as patient transport, taking vitals, non-sterile dressings, EKG’s and splint application. Will also assist with paperwork, faxing/filing and answering phones and greeting patients and visitors. Assists in maintaining adequate inventory supplies and equipment. Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and be able to handle stress adequately. BLS required within 90 days of employment.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Candidates with previous experience in emergency/trauma preferred but not required.
Shifts is nights.

RN – E.R. 7am-7pm – 091- Emergency
DESCRIPTION: Provides safe and effective nursing care to all Emergency Room patients utilizing the nursing process. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for the direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering said care. The Registered Nurse provides for technical procedures and treatments, safely and effectively as directed. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the patient assessment and reassessment through data collection and systems evaluation; patient and family education through implementation of a teaching plan, implementation of nursing intervention determined by the revision of plans of care through documentation of a patients responses to nursing interventions, treatments and procedures, communicating patient status on a continuous basis throughout assigned patient care. EDUCATION: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred LICENSES/CERTIFICATES: Current Alabama Registered Nursing License, Basic Life Support (within 30 days)ACLS and PALS within 90 days).
