Radiology

DESCRIPTION: The Radiology Technologist is responsible for the satisfactory independent operation of radiation producing equipment; for the performance of routine radiographic procedures including, but not limited to, mobile radiography, Dexa Scans, and fluoroscopy. The technologist will also be responsible for routine clerical duties including filing, copying exams and reports. The radiology technologist will know all phases of film printing, storage and retrieval in the PACS system. This employee will provide services for all inpatient’s and outpatient’s of all age groups in a timely and professional manner. They will assist the Radiologist with any diagnostic examination, keep the radiographic rooms well stocked with needed supplies and fill out all necessary paperwork, history sheets and computerized e-forms in it’s entirety to provide well documented and complete patient care.

EXPERIENCE: Must be registered or registry eligible with the ARRT. Experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards. Must be mature and able to work in stressful situations. Expected to work independently in a professional and thorough manner.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATES: ARRT certification in radiology or registry eligible. Registry eligible candidates must have passed ARRT registry within 1 year to maintain employment. BLS required.
