Registered Nurse – Surgical Services – SURGERY

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to patients; supervising nursing care, educating personnel; supervising services; assisting with surgical procedures, scrubbing and circulating duties. Assists in administrative and related duties as required and directed; floats between OR, Holding and Recovery as needed; and, acts as charge nurse in the surgical suite in the absence of the Charge Nurse or the Director.

Must be a graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. At least one year of experience in operating room, PACU or Central Sterile preferred. Charge nurse experience preferred.

Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Alabama. ACLS required.

Hours: Monday through Friday starting 6:30am. Shares in call rotation; must respond and be onsite ready to work within 30 minutes of being called in.

Surgical Technician – Surgery – OR

Troy Regional Medical Center is focused on providing quality care to the members of Pike and surrounding counties. The TRMC Surgical Team is seeking the right candidate to join a remarkable team. Benefits available day one with relocation assistance provided for the right candidate! Prospective candidate must have successfully completed a Certified Scrub Technician program with one to three years of experience preferred. The OR Tech functions under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and RNs. Acting as a surgical assistant. Must have previous surgical experience; be knowledgeable in anatomy, techniques used in surgery, along with sterile techniques and instrumentation and equipment. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility and resourcefulness in dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel; able to deliver care based on patient’s needs appropriate for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
